You love their kids and want to take them with<br>
them when you travel. However, this is not always<br>
possible because toddlers can be quite a handful while<br>
travelling. Toddlers may especially find car trips<br>
too tiresome, boring, and even scary. Try some of<br>
the tips given below to make  car travel more enjoyable<br>
for you and your children.<br>

1. Travel while your kids are sleeping. This will allow<br>
you  some peace during part of the trip. You may have to<br>
alter your travel times to match with the sleeping<br>
patterns of your children. Of course, if night travel is<br>
not a safe orcomfortable option for you, then look at<br>
other options, instead.<br>

2. Make sure that the toddlers have a number of things ~<br>
toys and activities - to keep them busy during the<br>
journey. Be sure to carry their favorite toys or the<br>
activities they like doing most with you for the journey.<br>
It will give your child a sense of security. Present your<br>
trip as an adventure activity to your kids so they enjoy<br>
it more. Travel games are also a good thing to carry on<br>
journeys. Whatever your choice,the idea is to make<br>
children feel comfortable and secure.<br>

3. Make the car trip as part of the fun by making regular<br>
stops to remove monotony from the drive. Children are<br>
easily bored and need to do different things at intervals.<br>
Make the trip as pleasurable as possible for<br>
everyone. Stop often for food, drinks, exercise, and the<br>
potty!<br>

4. Take along travel hygiene items. These should include a<br>
container in the car, with a lid, in case the kids become<br>
nauseous from motion illness or food poisoning. Wet wipes<br>
for sticky fingers and lips are a good idea as well. Have<br>
a trash bag for package wrappings and apple cores or<br>
bottle caps to keep the car neat and clean.<br>

5. Check out places of interest along your route. Some<br>
unexpected fun prior to arrival at your final destination<br>
will likely be appreciated by both you and your kids. Look<br>
for child-friendly stops such as playgrounds, zoos, and<br>
novelty locations.<br>
<br>
Taking kids on a trip can be daunting, but if you plan<br>
ahead and take along a few essentials, it need not seem so<br>
bad.<br>
