Panama isn't just about the Canal. The country of Panama is
a fabulous vacation spot. You'll find some of Central
America's finest deep sea fishing, as well as the most
beautiful reefs around which to snorkel. Look for vacation
packages that match your interests. It's a great place full
of beautiful scenery and fascinating wildlife. Panama is a
bird watcher's paradise, offering an amazing variety of
brightly colored birds.

Seven tribes of indigenous people inhabit Panama, each with
their own heritage and culture. Spanish heritage is
celebrated throughout Panama, and you're sure to find
festivals, both planned and spontaneous.

If you are looking for adventure you~ll find it in Panama.
You can ride the rapids, view an abundance of wildlife in
one of the natural parks, swim in the warm waters of the
Pacific Ocean, or snorkel among the reefs of the Caribbean
Sea. You~ll never be bored and looking for something to
do~and you~ll want to return time and time again. Keep in
mind that there are some areas of Panama that you will want
to visit only with the guidance of a tour guide. One of
these areas is Dari~n National Park, which is a very wild
and uninhabited area of Panama. When you are planning your
vacation to Panama you will want to contact one of the many
tour guide companies to make arrangements to visit Dari~n
National Park with an experienced guide.

The dry season is the best time to visit Panama. This is
generally from mid-December to mid-April. The rainy season
produces more humidity than most people can tolerate. Also,
the rain comes down in short, sudden downpours that might
ruin any outdoor adventure. There are some wild areas that
you can reach only during the dry season. If you like
parties, plan to be in Panama during carnival season.
Sometime around Ash Wednesday is when you'll want to arrive.

Other attractions for you in Panama are the Panama Canal,
the Summit Botanical Gardens and Zoo, and the Parque
Nacional Metropolitana. You'll love Panama on your first
visit and want to hurry back!
