Dallas is the perfect vacation get-away, whether it's just<br>
for the weekend or for an extended vacation. Texas is<br>
amazing all on its own, but tourist flock to Dallas. Dallas<br>
sits on the Trinity River with its many creeks and small<br>
tributaries that branch off throughout the city. The many<br>
rivers, creeks and streams offer a number of lovely<br>
tree-lined walks and parks. You'll enjoy strolls among the<br>
oak, cottonwood and pecan trees.<br>

Dallas is a financial and business hub for the southwest<br>
United States. Dallas claims to be one of the busiest<br>
convention cities in the States, with a variety of hotels to<br>
fit everyone's budget. The downtown core boasts several<br>
luxury hotels with easy access to the Dallas convention<br>
center. For those interested in hotels away from the hustle<br>
and bustle of downtown, there are a number of elegant hotels<br>
in the suburbs or near the airport.<br>

You won't be restricted to financial interests when you<br>
visit Dallas. There are art and cultural exhibits not to be<br>
missed. One of the most interesting museums is the African<br>
American Museum situated at Fair Park. As you tour it you<br>
will learn much about African American culture and heritage<br>
that you hadn't known before. You will also have a number of<br>
art galleries to choose from if you wish.<br>

If you've brought your children, be sure to take them to<br>
visit the Dallas Children's Museum. It will be a great<br>
hands-on experience in various real- life scenarios. They<br>
feature a farm, hospital, grocery store and firehouse. When<br>
you are through playing, you can show them some other<br>
cultural displays before you return to the city.<br>

No trip to Dallas would be complete without a little<br>
shopping. Dallas is home to a variety of boutiques and even<br>
some second-hand shops that sell the wares of top- rated<br>
designers such as Armani, Donna Karan, and Emanuael. Dallas<br>
is also home to many a sports enthusiast - with professional<br>
basketball, baseball, football and hockey. Or, if you want<br>
to participate in sports, you'll find lots of challenging<br>
golf courses. After 18-holes of golf, you can retire to one<br>
of the many fine Dallas restaurants.<br>

Regardless of what time of the year you visit Dallas, you'll<br>
find something fun to do and leave with a desire to comeback<br>
for more.<br>
