Dallas is the perfect vacation get-away, whether it's just
for the weekend or for an extended vacation. Texas is
amazing all on its own, but tourist flock to Dallas. Dallas
sits on the Trinity River with its many creeks and small
tributaries that branch off throughout the city. The many
rivers, creeks and streams offer a number of lovely
tree-lined walks and parks. You'll enjoy strolls among the
oak, cottonwood and pecan trees.

Dallas is a financial and business hub for the southwest
United States. Dallas claims to be one of the busiest
convention cities in the States, with a variety of hotels to
fit everyone's budget. The downtown core boasts several
luxury hotels with easy access to the Dallas convention
center. For those interested in hotels away from the hustle
and bustle of downtown, there are a number of elegant hotels
in the suburbs or near the airport.

You won't be restricted to financial interests when you
visit Dallas. There are art and cultural exhibits not to be
missed. One of the most interesting museums is the African
American Museum situated at Fair Park. As you tour it you
will learn much about African American culture and heritage
that you hadn't known before. You will also have a number of
art galleries to choose from if you wish.

If you've brought your children, be sure to take them to
visit the Dallas Children's Museum. It will be a great
hands-on experience in various real- life scenarios. They
feature a farm, hospital, grocery store and firehouse. When
you are through playing, you can show them some other
cultural displays before you return to the city.

No trip to Dallas would be complete without a little
shopping. Dallas is home to a variety of boutiques and even
some second-hand shops that sell the wares of top- rated
designers such as Armani, Donna Karan, and Emanuael. Dallas
is also home to many a sports enthusiast - with professional
basketball, baseball, football and hockey. Or, if you want
to participate in sports, you'll find lots of challenging
golf courses. After 18-holes of golf, you can retire to one
of the many fine Dallas restaurants.

Regardless of what time of the year you visit Dallas, you'll
find something fun to do and leave with a desire to comeback
for more.
